DM confers with then Governor of Guanajuato, now current President of Mexico, Vincente Fox. This was the beginning of a long-term relationship with Fox. He came to Los Angeles and DM visited him to continue discussions after he became President.

DM's main focus was the implementation of Mexican /Mexican American Relations. US-Mexico A topic he spent most of his life discussing and trying to improve.
